Incidentally:
The intro, theme, plus a dozen more measures of this version of Shivers was used on the soundtrack of the October 2001 movie “Focus” starring Wm H Macy and Laura Dern.  In a 1944 anti-Semitic Brooklyn neighborhood, the milquetoast main character, Larry, is going out to water his overbearing, widowed mother’s lawn as we hear a fade-in of Charlie Christian’s guitar intro.  About 22 minutes into the film, the segment leads to an intensely poignant moment.  Stunningly unexpected and refreshing in a rather somber plot.
