C
&A:

Just Like Taking Candy from a Baby gets a nice arrangement from Fletcher Henderson…but there’s not a whole lot here for Charlie Christian.  He’s prominently heard leading the sextet on eight bars of riffs borrowed from their regular 12-bar intro to Honeysuckle Rose – elseways it’s just rhythm guitar work with the orchestra.  Both complete takes are essentially identical.  An unissued breakdown recorded between the two complete takes did not include the eight bars of sextet riffs.

First take WCO 26809 X (alternate take)
Second take WCO 26809 y (unreleased breakdown)
Third take WCO 26809 A (master take)
