C&A:
Intro to Edmond Hall Blues recorded with the Edmond Hall
Celeste Quartet.
The plat du jour on this tune is the bass intro with Charlie
Christian providing some chords in augmentation. In addition to the guitar
chords, the transcription also includes Israel Crosby’s bass part written an
octave higher than the actual notes. Crosby was a master bassist who
oftentimes played between the notes, particularly on the blues, so expect
some of the notation to be the closest approximation. |
